The Gatewood Historic District (GHD) Board is in need of more active board members to continue to push and support our initiatives. In recent months we unfortunately had several active board members resign and we're looking to replace them. While we are a voluntary neighborhood association versus a mandatory HOA, the GHD Board does have a lot of power to make positive changes to the neighborhood through our actions. We know you will agree, our homes are an investment and the state of the neighborhood is almost as important as the house itself. We have so many great ideas to make Gatewood even better, we just need more volunteers to help us execute on the plans.
If you like sales, fundraising, event management, social media, landscaping, etc., please consider joining us. Past board experience is not needed. In terms of time commitment, depending on what’s happening, it’s about 3-5 hours a month. For meetings, we meet once a month on the second Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. The rest of the time we use the online tool Slack to collaborate so it’s faster and we can engage when we have time in our personal schedules.
